San Rafael, Barahona, Dominican Republic

where to visit dominican republic barahona

I mean, it’s summer. I can’t deny I really miss the beach even though I am still on a trip in the beautiful city of Guangzhou. Here are photos of a recent trip to San Rafael, Barahona back in the Dominican Republic. Those waves are almost double the size of me and so strong that whatever you have on you, will surely come off. Unfortunately, it’s a really rocky beach and it may hurt your feet spending time there. Beside the beach, San Rafael also consists of a small cascade from a river; so basically you can change the type of water you want to be at easily. The food was pretty good even though it wasn’t freshly cooked. We ordered dominican “Moro” which is rice cooked with beans, “Fritos” or “Tostones” deep fried semi-mashed plantain and fried fishes. Compared to other beaches, the food is cheap. All you see on the photos, costed $450 pesos. They usually have small lobsters for $250 which is a fair price. However, they sell out super fast so if you want to eat them, you better go early. The best time would be around noon and 1pm. Feeling so grateful to live somewhere where the beach or river is just a few hours away. My outfit consists of a short from American Eagle (similar here) and a crop top with fun details at the bottom from A’gaci (similar here). Can’t get simpler.

Tomorrow we keep exploring! Since I have never been pretty familiar with the city of Guangzhou, my situation was worsened due to the fact that things have changed so much lately. Can’t wait to see more and eat more!
