“What a cool plaid skirt over there!” was what I thought when I first spotted this palazzo pant at a wholesale shop in Guangzhou. I didn’t know it was pant until I brought it home since wholesalers don’t let you try the pieces there. Well, I was more than happy to find that out! Surely this girl here is no material for long skirts and apparently, it wasn’t time to own one yet. If this was ever a long skirt, it would’ve been my first one. However, things turned out the other way around and it turned out to be my first pair of palazzo! Let me rephrase, my first extra wide palazzo pants.
I have always been hesitant about these pants due to my height and not very long legs. Nevertheless, since they are high waisted, why not give it a go. As expected, I love how incredibly comfortable and versatile they are. Palazzo pants are apt for every season and are settable to any mood as long as you combine them with the right accessories. Let’s say to the beach, you can wear it along a crop top and a straw hat. Then, in fall you can wear it along a long sleeve shirt tucked in with or sans a belt.
I didn’t have to struggle much picking the top because it’s a combo bought together. For a chicer touch, I put on a Forever 21 burgundy bag which I am so in love with the design. Lastly, I wore heels to avoid the saggy look. Personally, I feel that outfits look more preppy when pants don’t touch the floor.
