I love this top but truth is: I barely wore it (until recently). I only wore it if was hanging at any fashion event, special occasion or wearing it with a ponytail. It’s so annoying when people confuse the fringes with my hair! See, that’s the problem with me: I am very self conscious or at least, I used to. You could see me spending half an hour, if not a complete hour thinking whether I would be underdressed or overdressed; whether it was the right occasion or not.
Over the past few months, thanks for the constant support of my family and friends, I learned that what can be overdressed for others, can be underdressed for you. And as cliché as it sounds, fashion all about one’s style and dressing up should not be about how you make others feels. It is all about how it makes you feel. Life wouldn’t be meaningful if you ever stop doing what you like, right? Point is, I have finally moved over that period of life where I care too much about what others think. Can’t feel more relieved right now!
This fringes top is one of my all time favorite purchases from Zara. Along the leather shorts, the only thing I can hear the look scream is: fall. No matter how much I love summer, fall and winter are definitely my favorite seasons to play dress up. Too bad you can’t wear some of the staples in the Caribbean. This means no high knee boots, no ponchos, no fury things and no much more. You surely can, just don’t come back whining to your closet how sweaty you are!
