Trip to Ocean World Adventure Park + OOTD

street style

The highlights of this summer were definitely the different road trips I took in the Dominican Republic. I was able to explore and appreciate the amazing views during the journey. After one of the most exhaustive days spent filming a new dominican movie “Todos los Hombres son Iguales”, we headed straight to Puerto Plata following just six hours of rest.

Succeeding the three to four hour trip, we finally made it to Ocean World Adventure Park. Long lines and a huge crowd awaited for us. Honestly, didn’t expect as much dominicans as adventure parks like such are mostly visited by tourists due to its high price. We strolled by the seals, dolphins, stingrays and a whole bunch of other animals.

Not much was to be done other than sitting down to watch the shows and soaking in the artificial beach with the same water the dolphins lived in. Well, there were also some water slides but didn’t even try to go in since there was a huge line. Don’t get me wrong though, the park was pretty awesome decorated and I did enjoy my day on this adventure park. However, I would have enjoyed it better if the prices of any service were a little less expensive —say swimming with any animal and food.

Even though many of us tend to enjoy zoos and adventure parks a lot, we must keep in mind how much these animals are sacrificing to keep our trips awesome. Not saying that zoos aren’t doing their thing protecting them and providing them food but these animals could have been in the wild swimming/running freely and happily instead of being in captivity forced to make us happy.

As for the OOTD I decided to opt for a more comfy and casual look. By comfy looks, most of the times I mean crop tops and shorts. For the sandals I opted for one with a little of heel — cuz’ who doesn’t like to look a little taller? Plus, they might even be comfier than normal sandals. To not leave the red sandals the only red piece, I combined it with this very practical Kipling bag, one that can fit everything you will need for the rest of the day inside. Finally, of course I wore my high waisted shorts to hide off a little my belly and show longer legs –one of the best pieces that helps you look slimmer.
